We entered the Desert Botanic Garden.  Cactus everywhere
barrel
saguaro
prickly pear.

The hummingbirds hovered over the blooms.  More birds
chirped
scurried
waddled.

The monarch butterflies sunned on plants.  Other butterflies flitted by
black swallowtails
zebra longwings
painted ladies.

We enjoyed walking amid the desert flora and fauna.  The sun
glimmered
heated
glowed.

  1. Gorgeous! And so different than our "wild life" here! Love the format you created with your slice too! So creative! Can't wait to hear more about your trip and see more of these photos!

  2. I love the flora and fauna and climate of Arizona, and I love how you structured this piece. I have gone a couple of times a year to see my granddaughter in Phoenix, but then she moved to Arizona. I miss it.
