Two Writing Teachers

Woke up this morning to a bunch of snow (but less than New England is expecting).

Taught lots of kids, some more squirrely than others (but it was an overall pretty good day).

Met husband and daughter for dinner.  Cheeseburger and fries (but they were small).

Curled up on the couch.  Passing time until This is Us records (but I can't wait much longer).

Almost forgot to submit a slice.  No big deal (but why not write!).

I have a paper due soon (but it can wait until tomorrow).

I almost didn't write a slice (but I did).

  1. Nice work! You got it done! There have already be a few nights where it would be so easy to say "not tonight...what's skipping one night". But the sense of accomplishment for sticking with it sticks with you for a long time. (and it will!)

  2. I'm glad you wrote (I like this format).
Don't procrastinate too much (always makes things harder).
You can stick with it and finish your paper (but you are allowed a night off).
And there's always tomorrow (but don't forget to write a slice too)!

  3. Such a fun format for your writing!! I am a sucker for parentheses - they let you get that one little extra piece of info in.
And your entire piece reminds me of some work I'm doing with Kylene Beers and Bob Probst's books around contrasts and contradictions. This would be a great mentor text! :)

  6. Good for you, Chris, for carving out the time to write.

BTW: I'm on a diet in an effort to loose the baby weight. What I wouldn't do for a cheeseburger and fries right now??!?!
